Charming representation of a small port in Brittany at low tide, with its small fishing boats or trawlers and its sailboats with lowered sails as well as its traditional houses on the Breton coast. Note the stunning illustration of a flight of 8 seagulls just above the boats, produced with incredible precision given the small format of the work; the mastery of detail that the artist demonstrates is particularly “bluffing”; the smallest detail being perceptible even when observing the painting from afar ! Beautiful framing.

DIMENSIONS : Unframed : 12,8 x 17,9 cm approx. - Framed : 21,9 x 3,4 x 27,2 cm approx.

PROVENANCE : Recognized french public auction house (from private collection).

CONDITION
Painting : Near perfect overall condition.
Frame : gilded, molded and carved, in excellent overall condition (age wear marks, small lacks particularly in the corners). Beautiful patina.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Willy PANNIER is a painter, draftsman and sculptor, born in 1952.
Prematurely attracted to drawing and expressing himself naturally through it, he decided, after his studies, to enroll at the École des Beaux-Arts to study and perfect his technique and discover new ones, including that specific to pictorial art.
Willy PANNIER began his career as an illustrator for Éditions CASTERMAN.
The artist produces many works, portraits, illustrations, models, watercolors and sculptures. From 1988, he directed his artistic career towards painting, for which he was passionate. Talented and determined in his new direction, he participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad.
Willy PANNIER is the painter of gaiety, joie de vivre and conviviality that he lets express at the end of his brushes and that we find throughout his work. His predilection for beach scenes, which he executes with incredible precision and finesse, have largely contributed to his notoriety.

"Painting is for me a joy constantly renewed by the pleasure of creating endless scenes to bring out the breath of life.".
