A finely moulded and carved armchair resting on curved legs ending in foliage. The waistband is curved and decorated with clasps and shells. Beautiful work on the armrests.

An example of furniture
Our armchair is a perfect illustration of the distinction between furnishing and flying furniture. Furnishing furniture, with its flat back, is designed to remain in place. Our chair is a model that is highly prized and has been reissued many times, right up to the present day.

Condition report: new horsehair upholstery on webbing, superb emerald silk velvet, finished with alternating nails on braid. There is some wear to the fabric and restoration to the foot ends.
