Oil on panel representing the portrait of a young boy in child's clothes (lace dress and scarf), signed Hip. Listed* and dated 1855, in an oval gilt frame decorated with flowers, from the mid-19th century. This painting is in good general condition as well as its frame. Signed and dated lower right. A note: some small accidents and lacks on the frame, some slight lack of paint on the edge of the canvas, wear of time, see photos (see red arrows). * Hippolyte Coté (1816-1874) painter born in Brest. He studied with Paul DELAROCHE; was appointed professor of drawing at the Brest high school and began, in 1846, to exhibit at the Paris Salon. Artist listed on Artprice.
