This armchair is characteristic of the great productions of the end of the Ancien Régime: the very fine work of mouldings on the belt; the balusters; the detached columns are all elements of the manufacture of seats by the best Parisian carpenters, such as Demay or Henri Jacob, to which this superb seat may remind us.
