Powerful Apothecary Mortar, Bronze, Two Handles, Flanders, Circa 1650

Superb object: a large bronze mortar, sand cast , Strong border top and bottom, circled with large filets in relief, this flared mortar is fit with two strong handles  heads of arched dolphins shaped.
Flanders mortar, with its original pestle, mid-17th century.
