"Camille Tharaud Vase, Enamelled Limoges Porcelain, Decor With Blue Flowers"
Magnificent ovoid-shaped vase in enamelled Limoges porcelain, signed Camille THARAUD, with a very beautiful floral decoration in shades of blue enhanced with gilding, on a color gradient background ranging from midnight blue at the neck to pure white at the base. A pure marvel! The flattened neck shows a marbling of white on a blue background offering a nice contrast with the top of the vase. To report a very small erasure of the net of gilding outside at the level of the collar (see photo). Camille THARAUD (1878-1956), famous porcelain maker recognized worldwide for his grand feu decorations, created the first decorations by hand on raw enamel in Limoges porcelain.
