Jacques Adnet, born on April 20, 1900 in Châtillon-Coligny, died on October 24, 1984, is a French architect and designer.
He worked with his twin brother, Jean Adnet, who received an identical training to his own. Under a common signature until 1928, they received the same awards.

He creates a furniture of geometrical form with new materials while keeping a concern of elegance which is his own, making the link between the modernity, and the tradition.

Over time, he uses more and more metal and glass with which he makes seats, bedside tables in tube, but also small pieces of furniture made entirely of silvered glass and screwed on a frame. He abandons the old forms that he does not even try to adapt.

He will however remain faithful to certain types of furniture like the furniture of support in innumerable variations. He also worked a lot on leather upholstered furniture with saddle stitching.
