Correspondence box, Napoleon III period, opening at the top by a small flap with a functional lock and its original Clover head key. He discovers three small compartments. The one in the center has a removable lid with a pull button, which reveals an authentic Porte Plume. On either side, two square spaces still contain their period inkwells. A second flap, inclined and operable only when the first is open, contains a Rosewood workspace. The latter is covered with a current Leather of Green color, embellished on its periphery with Golden friezes and on a hard bottom. It has a tab at the top that will reveal a last storage compartment, made of Rosewood. We will appreciate the pretty facades of these two flaps, each embellished with a Rosewood Decor with symmetrical designs, against a background of precious Rio Rosewood recognizable by the finesse of its rows. These two Marqueteries are underlined by a delicate brass thread forming an entourage in Waves. Finally, these two openings are framed on their edges by a quarter-round brass rod.
