Solid mahogany desk or living room table, Louis XV period, France, 18th century, Region of Aunis or Saintonge (La Rochelle?) Opening with a frieze drawer, the four scalloped friezes, the top "in cabaret" on three listed. Production typical of the province of Santonge or Aunis, the very thin feet not being typical of Bordeaux or Nantes creations. In perfect condition, note a tiny oblique graft on the left rear foot of only 2cm. Sober, chic, and 98% original.
