Born in 1925 in Czechoslovakia and died in 2004, Eric Schamschula lived a large part of his life in France, more precisely in Normandy. While he was a model designer in the Riedel glassworks in Vienna in the 70s and 80s, Schamschula developed a secret technique for working with glass paste. Schamschula's works are in the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, the Glass Museum of Sars-Poteries, at Rosenthal in Selb in Germany, and in many private collections. He has exhibited in Paris, Lillebonne, Strasbourg, Nantes, Toulon, and Antibes for France, but also in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Japan.
