"Table At The Muses After Riesener"
Exceptional table with the muses after a model by Jean Henri Riesner. This one is from the first half of the 20th century. Originally this table was delivered in 1771 by Riesner to Monsieur de Fontanieu who was the general intendant of the furniture of the crown. The legend says that it was also the table of Marie Antoinette, moreover in the last century the empress Eugénie adds it to the furniture of the Petit Trianon in memory of this one. An exceptional cabinetmaking for this table with a mixture of native woods (boxwood, lemon tree, sycamore, satin, rosewood, mahogany, rosewood). An ornamentation of chiselled and gilded bronzes adorns the belt and the base. This table has a drawer in front. A rare piece of furniture on the market. We find this table at the Hotel de la Marine in Paris. DIMENSIONS: 1.15MX 0.67M AND 0.78M HEIGHT
