"Exceptional Renaissance Style Carved Walnut Bed"
Superb castle bed in walnut entirely carved in the Renaissance style. This bed depicts Prometheus, God and Greek hero, stealing fire with the help of Athena, in order to offer it to humanity. The headboard and the footboard are quite representative of this scene. On either side of the headboard are carved the figures of Prometheus, on the left, and Athena, on the right. The footboard is surmounted by large candlesticks. French work of the 19th century of very good quality. This bed is in good condition.Dimensions
