"Book "the Crushed Macons" Of 1762-continuation Of The Book "the Order Of Macons Betrayed""
Book "The Crushed Masons" LARUDAN (abbot) 1762, XVIII°. Continuation of the book entitled "The Order of Freemasons Betrayed". Amsterdam, SE 1762 - IN-12, frontispiece engraved and drawn by S. FOKKE, 384 pages, period full calfskin binding, spine decorated with 5 raised bands, marbled edges, purfling on the covers, 4 plates out of the 5 that make up this work (plate 4 is missing, page 82.) This work, which should not be confused with that of Father PERAU, is not, as the title indicates, a translation, but an original work. It is illustrated with a curious frontispiece engraved and drawn by S.FOKKE, with a title vignette reproducing the Masonic insignia and with 5 folded plates (missing plate IV) representing the layout of the lodges at various degrees. Note the last board where we notice arranged in a cross the following animals: DOVE, LION, FOX, PELICAN and MONKEY, Masonic emblems which form the layout of the lodge to the rank of Architect or Scotsman. Dimensions: 16.5 x 10.5 x 3cm. Beautiful state of conservation and use, in its own juice, see the details in the photos. Free shipping for France. Prices on request depending on other country.
