Died on October 4, 2018 He is a French painter, sculptor and draftsman. MESSENGER Michel carries out ordinary studies and takes drawing lessons with the evening classes of the city of Paris. He began his professional life as a wood sculptor and then gradually began his career as a painter and draftsman. MESSENGER Michel really made himself known from 1959, when he received the first prize for abstract composition at the Deauville salon. The painter has many favorite subjects such as still lifes, landscapes ... The artist participates in many fairs such as the painters' fair in 1963. Thereafter he exhibits in many countries and travels in Europe and in America, from which emerge numerous canvases of landscapes, seascapes and bouquets of flowers. The artist is also fascinated by masks and costumes. This is why, in 1977, he composed around fifty canvases on the theme of the carnival. MESSENGER Michel receives the silver medal of Arts-Sciences-Lettre and many other distinctions. Messager practices a paradoxical painting linking white and black, light and dark, powerful and fragile, eternal and ephemeral. The color applied with a palette knife is dazzlingly frank and needs no support. He leads a plastic fight for the victory of light, beauty, perfection and freedom. Messager gives the image of a creator grappling with a reality on the verge of a dream, who refuses to let himself be taken in.
