This canvas has been cleaned and varnished and has an old restoration, a small piece of reinforcement on the back that does not alter the quality of the paint. Dimensions of the canvas, 42x34 cm. Total dimensions, with frame, 48x40 cm. Emile Valentin Cardinal, born at the Chataigneraie in Vendée, 1883-1958, painter of figures, flowers, animal. Between 1920 and 1932, he exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Indépendants and the National Society of Fine Arts.
