Ivory stitched case, decorated on the top of a small plate in gilded metal, signed Tahan * in Paris, of Napoleon III XIXth century. This case is in good general condition. It is sold empty (we do not have the sewing elements). To report: trace of restoration in the back (an ivory plate has been re-glued), the box does not close, small slits on the top, wear time, well look at the photos (cf red arrows). * TAHAN Jean-Pierre (1813-1892) Probably the most famous cabinetmaker of the Emperor Napoleon III. It was under his impulse that his father's house, Pierre-Lambert, took off and became one of the most famous in Paris.
